General – Content Affiliate Program
Q: What type of affiliate programs are available?
A: About Wall Decor offers two types of Content Affiliate Programs:
- Royalty Based: This program is designed for any photographer or artist that wishes to offer their images to About Wall Decor for inclusion in our digital catalog and to be produced as wall decals, glossy posters or gallery wrapped canvas. Under this program you simply submit your images to the About Wall Decor FTP server, along with the Product Submission spreadsheet (download here). After that, About Wall Decor staff perform the remaining steps to include: processing images, taking orders, payment processing, production and shipping.
- Revenue Share: This program works similar to Amazon, Wayfair, Etsy and many other superstore sites, however is strictly for sellers that wish to offer any type of wall decor product through the About Wall Decor website. Using this program allows our partners to essentially have control over all aspects of their products. You enter products and information and once approved by our support staff they will be available to shoppers in the About Wall Decor catalog. From there, once an order is placed, you will be responsible for preparing and shipping the item to the customer.
Q: What is the cost to enroll in the About Wall Decor Content Affiliate Programs?
A: Absolutely FREE!
Q: Who is eligible to enroll in the programs?
A: Any photographer, artist or small manufacturer of wall decor product.
Q: What is my affiliate ID?
A: Your affiliate ID will be the email address you enroll with.

Q: What file formats do you accept?
A: About Wall Decor accepts any of the following file formats (Note: Only .jpg files can be used for product upload under the Revenue Share Program in the Marketplace. Royalty Based program partners may upload any of the following):

Q: What are your minimum resolution requirements for an image?
A: Digital camera images require a minimum resolution of 2048×1536. This resolution is available on any camera with a megapixel rating of 3 or more. Simply set your image capture settings to the highest quality. Scanned images require a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at 8"x10".
Q: Who processes the images for inclusion in About Wall Decor catalog?
A: About Wall Decor's own internal Graphics Specialists perform this function for Royalty Based Program Partners. You must create your own images if submitting products under the Revenue Share Program for inclusion in the Marketplace.
Q: Once I submit my images, how long until they are processed?
A: It may take anywhere from a few weeks up to several months for image placement into the About Wall Decor catalog for Royalty Based Partners. This time will vary depending upon our workload and the number of affiliate partners that submitted work prior to you. Revenue Share Partners images are ready to display once you upload them and item is approved.
Q: How do I submit my images?
A: Image submission is based upon the type of program you are selecting:
Royalty Based: All images, as well as the Product Submission spreadsheet (download here) must be included in a folder that includes your name and the email address you created your About Wall Decor account with (i.e. KevinSmith_ksmith@yahoo.com). The email address must also match your PayPal address. This folder must then be uploaded to the About Wall Decor FTP server. Once your folder is uploaded to the FTP site our Graphics Department is automatically notified and they will download the folder to our internal graphics servers.

Revenue Share: Images may either be entered one at a time or via a .csv spreadsheet upload. Download the .csv template here.
Q: How is pricing determined for my images and can I set my own pricing?
A: About Wall Decor normally sets all pricing for Royalty Based Partners within our retail guidelines, however in certain instances, per special requests, we will honor pricing a Content Affiliate requests. We strongly recommend if you are submitting products under the Royalty Based Program to follow our pricing model as higher prices will result in fewer sales. Our pricing for the Royalty Based program has been optimized over the years to offer industry standard pricing to customers while providing you reasonable royalties.
If you are enrolled under the Revenue Share Program, where you will be submitting your own product, you may charge any price you wish, however we do recommend you perform some market research to determine what a nominal MSRP would be for your product. You will also need to determine shipping and handling costs to be included.

Q: Can I have my images removed from the catalog?
A: Yes. You may request to have your images removed at any time. Once the request is made all images will be removed with 48 business hours. About Wall Decor also reserves the right to remove any images or galleries we feel are not performing well.
Q: Do I still retain the copyright to my images?
A: Yes. About Wall Decor only agrees to sell the images to end users and not to any other broker or wholesaler/retailer.
Q: How are the images named when placed in my gallery?
A: About Wall Decor provides you with a Product Submission spreadsheet (download here) in Microsoft Excel that must be submitted, along with your images, for the Royalty Based Program. This form contains a name field that must be completed. If you do not submit this template the About Wall Decor graphics specialist that processes your images will include a generic name and tags for each image. We highly recommend you follow the uploading procedures for the Royalty Based Program as failure to do so may result in delays of your images being placed live in our catalog.
Revenue Share Partners will name their products when being entered into the About Wall Decor Marketplace.
Royalties/Revenue Share
Q: What are the royalty/revenue share incentives and how are they determined?
A: Again, monies owed are calculated upon the type of program you are enrolled in:
Royalty Based: Partners earn a 20% royalty on every sale of their products. Once images are submitted our partner is not required to perform any other tasks - About Wall Decor performs all aspects of image editing and upload, order and payment processing, as well as production and fulfillment to customer.
Revenue Share: Partners determine the price they wish to sell their products for and once sold are responsible for any production and fulfillment to the customer. About Wall Decor will retain 15% of the sale and our partner will receive the remaining monies.
Q: How often are commissions/royalties paid?
A: About Wall Decor pays royalties under the Royalty Based Partner Program monthly. (i.e. December 1st through 31st earned royalties are paid by January 31st). These monies are only paid if the affiliate has accrued a minimum of $25 and all payments are made via PayPal – NO EXCEPTIONS. If an affiliate has not accrued a minimum $25 in commissions/royalties for a quarter, monies are held until such time the minimum $25 has accrued. Affiliates enrolled under the Revenue Share Partner Program are paid within 7 days after every bi-monthly sales time frame (i.e. December 1st through 15th payments are made by December 22nd). Again, all payments are made via PayPal – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Q: How can I track sales of my images to determine royalties/revenue share monies due to me?
A: Simply logon to your Content Affiliate account.

A: Royalty Based Program Partners will utilize the following server address:

Q: How do I upload my files to the Wallhogs FTP sites?
A: Once you have gained access simply select the About Wall Decor Affiliates folder and upload your folder with images and Product Submission sheet.
